Team FORTITUDE Secures Key Role Supporting British Army CEMA Capability
Team FORTITUDE has been selected to provide through-life support, training and capability sustainment to a concept demonstrator for a critical British Army capability. The award marks a significant milestone for Team FORTITUDE, a sovereign partnership, founded by PentenAmio that includes Filtronic, a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced RF and microwave solutions, Mercury EW, a specialist in EW training, consultancy, and defence training management, and an ecosystem of UK SMEs.
The concept demonstrator delivers Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) capabilities for land forces, integrating specialist digital and spectrum expertise across the battlefield. These capabilities play an increasingly important role in helping military personnel understand, influence and operate within the modern operating environment.
Team FORTITUDE will provide comprehensive Equipment support, training and capability sustainment, ensuring users can maximise the effectiveness of the system. Drawing on the collective expertise of its partners, the team will deliver high-quality support that helps sustain performance and ensure continued concept and capability development.
The work contributes directly to the Army’s ongoing focus on increasing combat effectiveness by improving force survivability and enabling greater freedom of manoeuvre across increasingly contested environments. CEMA capabilities are becoming ever more important in helping forces reduce vulnerability, protect personnel and equipment, and gain an operational advantage.
Beyond the immediate delivery of training and equipment support, the concept demonstrator creates valuable opportunities for Team FORTITUDE to deepen its understanding of emerging CEMA challenges and strengthen relationships with frontline users. Lessons learned will help inform future capability development, drive continuous improvement and enhance Team FORTITUDE’s ability to support and deliver critical outcomes for the UK Armed Forces across this rapidly evolving domain.
