PentenAmio shortlisted for two Women in Defence UK Awards
PentenAmio, the leading British-Australian secure communications company headquartered in Tewkesbury, is pleased to announce that two team members have been nominated for Women in Defence UK Awards.
Alongside leading figures from GCHQ, the Armed Forces and the private sector, Advanced Software Engineer Heather Bates was shortlisted for the Inspirational Award while Head of Early Careers Alice Price was shortlisted for Champion for Maximising Talent.
The nominations are recognition of both women’s positions as experts in their field and inspirations to the traditionally male-dominated sector, and come soon after Group Executive Director, Sarah Bailey, was named Female Defence Leader of the Year at the Australian Defence Industry Awards 2025.
The awards, now in their tenth year, are distributed by Women in Defence UK, the non-profit network with over 15,000 members and selected by panels of senior industry figures and Women in Defence partners.

The news comes as PentenAmio has once again been selected as a partner in CyberFirst, the Government’s programme helping young people explore opportunities in tech, through which the company has supported several grauduates and apprentices in creating their careers.
Furthermore, PentenAmio will serve as a member of the CyberFirst Industry Advisory Board for the year 2025-26. The appointment is further recognition of PentenAmio’s successful investment in and support of early careers in defence and cyber in the South West.
