PentenAmio joins National Security Tech Alliance as founding member

PentenAmio has been named a founding member of the newly launched National Security Tech Alliance (NSTA), a powerful new industry group led by the Tech Council of Australia (TCA) to drive sovereign innovation in critical technologies. The NSTA brings together Australia’s leading security-focused technology companies to help shape national capability in areas like cyber security, artificial intelligence, and quantum.

The announcement marks a key milestone in Australia’s sovereign tech capability, and PentenAmio is proud to contribute its expertise in secure mobile communications, AI enabled cyber defence, and electronic deception technologies.

“We’re proud to be a founding member of the National Security Technology Alliance, bringing Australian industry and government together to strengthen sovereign capability and build a more resilient nation,”
Sarah Bailey, Group Executive Director and CEO Australia, PentenAmio

Formed at a time when national security and technology are more tightly connected than ever, the NSTA aims to align Australia’s strategic tech capabilities with the country’s defence and sovereignty objectives. It will act as a central partner to government and industry, championing innovation, commercialisation, and policy coherence across the security-tech sector.

The launch follows deep consultation with government, parliamentarians, and members across the tech ecosystem. It represents a coordinated effort to strengthen Australia’s national security industrial base by supporting advanced technology development at home.

“The connection between our national security and technology has never been more important,” said Tech Council of Australia CEO Damian Kassabgi.

Australia’s long-term sovereignty will depend on how we use technology to strengthen our economic and national resilience. The NSTA will help lead that conversation and shape a positive, forward-looking agenda.”

As Chair of the Tech Council, Scott Farquhar has also called for urgent action to unlock the nation’s technological potential, particularly in artificial intelligence.

“We need to partner with government to pave the way. The scale of the opportunity and the risks of missing out demand a new kind of partnership, one that moves at the speed of technology, not at the speed of bureaucracy.”

Co-chaired by John Paitaridis (CEO of CyberCX) and Andrew Downes (VP Strategy, Thales Australia), the Alliance is backed by an impressive list of founding members that includes major technology and defence innovators such as Microsoft, Google, Telstra, Apple, CommBank, CSIRO, KPMG, Anduril, Advanced Navigation, and Q-CTRL.

PentenAmio is proud to sit at the table with these organisations as a founding member. As a specialist in cyber deception, secure mobile communications and AI-powered defence tools, we see this alliance as a critical step in building the national tech base required to meet today’s threats — and those on the horizon.
